Ok, the design below is the fixed version of the
Drake Light Assault Vehicle, which I posted earlier.
There were several minor (and couple of not so minor)
flaws in the previous posting.
Those who bothered to read through my earlier posting,
and through my rantings with the turrets, well, I
myself have decided to use a bit different multiplier
for the volume in the turrets of vehicles. I will go
to this change in a bit, but if you do not want to
use the system, reduce the cargo in this design
to 0.3 tons.

Now, after short tampering with the turrets, I noticed
that by dividing the suggested multiplier from FFS
by 10, and then adding 1 to it, will give a much better
(read realistic) affect to the turret volume. Putting
stuff in the turret still has an effect, but now you
actually can design turreted vehicles without them
having to be 10 displacement tons or more in size.
If this will bring the volume of the turret equipment
too much down for your taste, try using 5 as the divider
instead of the 10 I use, that increases the effect
of tech level with the turrets, but keeps the turrets
manageable.

Now, without any further delay, back to the corrected...

Message-ID: <ffc8a760@MailXFER.DMCWAVE.COM>

Could someone please let me know what the various technology and legal
codes are and what book the reference came from?

For example, take a look at this description of Trin:

     > Trin (Trin's Veil: Spinward Marches/3235) A894984-F N Hi In Cp
     > 701Re M0VACF-8 811-9Y99-1G Re2 g=.9511 day=64:20:31.58 year=43d
     > 5:28:50.96/16d 2:59:12.16 atmos=2.11, controlled weather
     > temp=-16 (7/lat 4 to -45) (season 11 to -31, 40 deg lat) daily temp
     > range 17 Ores, Radio, Crystal, Comp; AgriProd; Parts, Durab,
     > Consum; Recordings, S/W Conservative/Advancing, Passive/Neutral,
     > Discordant/Xenophobic Legal 4-03520, Tech FE-FFFGE-FFFF-GF-H

In the last line, there are specific "Legal" and "Tech" codes. Can
someone please give me an outline of what each code in the string
     represents?

I'm planning on detailing several previously undetailed worlds in The
Spinward Marches and I'd like to make up some tech and legal
breakdowns the "official" way, but I don't have the template. Your
help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
